An interactive data-driven website has been created to archive all available data related to these successful companies’ revenues, the historical events that shaped their growth, and the industry sector status and changes that emerged.
The ‘History of the Fortune 500’ interactive data analytics site is touted to be a visual experience that takes users through a guided exploration of the Fortune 500 list is widely used to benchmark market leaders and industry sectors. The website was launched to synchronize with the latest Fortune 500 list for 2020. Here are some of the website features:
- Starting with 1971, users walk through landmark market moments such as Black Monday, the 1994 Fortune 500 update to reflect the rise of services organizations like Walmart (which debuted at #4), and the Great Recession of 2008.

The developer of the website, data analytics firm Qlik is the official analytics partner of the Fortune 500. Later this year, Qlik and Fortune will also deliver a similar experience for the Fortune Global 500 as part of a multi-year partnership.
