Cushman & Wakefield elevated application performance and network efficiency with Silver Peak SD-WAN for its cloud-first strategy.
Cushman & Wakefield is a global real estate services company that provides extraordinary value to real estate occupants and owners.
One of the largest real estate services companies with approximately 51,000 employees in about 200 offices and 70 countries, the company’s 2018 revenue was $8.2 billion across core services in real estate, facilities and project management, leasing, capital markets, valuation and other services.
Challenge: Following a series of mergers and acquisitions, Cushman & Wakefield had disparate networks with global branch offices backhaul all traffic to their respective regional data centers across expensive MPLS circuits. This caused a huge bottleneck, slowing down application performance and degrading quality of end-user experience.
Solution: Cushman & Wakefleld adopted a cloud-first strategy and deployed a global SD-WAN at 200 business locations (including all branches and eight data centers) using the EdgeConnect SD-WAN edge platform. The company also implemented Unity Boost WAN optimization and service chained EdgeConnect with Zscaler cloud security. The global SD-WAN is managed centrally using Orchestrator.
