The Irish multinational corporation has consolidated fragmented connectivity across 28 countries to improve security, compliance, and site onboarding.
How can a multinational corporation with dozens of factories and hundreds of network connections across 28 countries simplify its infrastructure enough to scale quickly — without sacrificing visibility, security, or control?
A global manufacturer of building insulation systems was previously experiencing challenges in maintaining consistent performance, visibility, and security in its company wide-area network spread across multiple service providers.
As business applications increasingly moved from MPLS towards cloud infrastructure and software-as-a-service platforms, the limitations of a fragmented network had become more apparent — impacting scalability and responsiveness to business demands.
On 19 February 2026, Kingspan Insulation was announced to have implemented a new fully managed connectivity solution to unify network operations across 90 sites in 28 countries. The initiative is part of its ongoing digital transformation to improve agility, compliance, and efficiency across its manufacturing and administrative facilities. The digitalization framework adopts a single, global connectivity framework that consolidates regional networks and provides centralized management, including:
- A managed overlay and underlay architecture that integrates secure software-defined networking and direct internet access
- Broadband connections optimized for performance monitoring and security compliance
- Centralized visibility through a self-service portal for managing orders, billing, and real-time utilization reports
- Standardized onboarding processes that allow new manufacturing or commercial sites to be integrated rapidly within a unified network structure
- Future options for satellite-based connectivity to enable rapid deployments in remote areas
According to the firm’s Divisional IT Operations Manager, Liam Waters, “Having one network standard gives us the control and visibility we need to expand efficiently. With consistent processes across all locations, we can bring new sites online faster and maintain compliance as the business grows.”
The managed connectivity project was delivered by Expereo, whose CEO Ben Elms said: serves to “…simplify a complex environment and gain the agility needed to support growth while keeping operations secure and unified.”
