Driven by pandemic-driven shifts, telcos across the world are focusing more on building network resilience to support and meet increasing network demand for existing and new customers facing restricted mobility and increased connectivity and data needs.
To support these shifts and transform to improve customer service, innovation and resilience, Indonesia’s largest telecommunications services provider, Telkomsel, has embarked on a program to evaluate its existing infrastructure and transform digitally.
The telco has to date been opening up more opportunities and possibilities by enabling digital connectivity, digital platforms, and digital services developed through prioritizing the benefits of technology for all levels of society across the country. Its range of modern services accessible through its 4G mobile broadband network and developing 5G network include mobile gaming, digital entertainment, digital lifestyle services, mobile financial services, enterprise solutions, and IoT services.
In line with its plans and expectations, the firm has appointed global consultancy ThoughtWorks to define and drive the program. This involves a three-year master plan where the consultants will be developing breakthrough solutions and creating practical and actionable solutions to solve complex challenges.
