As the firm grows worldwide, its digital transformation programs continue to keep responsible AI and human capital optimization in keen sight
As a global professional services firm specializing in real estate and investment management, Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) was in search of a technology partner that could keep it up to speed with emerging and transformative technologies such as AI.
The firm’s distributed 100,000-strong workforce was also proving to be an increasing challenge for the HR function to manage efficiently, with multiple disparate systems generating vast amounts of people data that had to be sieved through.
Recently, JLL announced it had chosen to address its digitalization needs by migrating to an enterprise resource management platform built with AI at the core to leverage financial and human capital effectively.
Said Ajay Pimpalshende, Director HR Technology, JLL: “Managing people data across our workforce was previously a tedious process, especially as we were juggling more than ten enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems at the same time. We were looking for one unified platform where we could bring all our HR processes together and harness meaningful insights for our leaders to manage their teams more effectively.” This eventually led to the decision to move to a new cloud platform that could provide “a single source of truth in data management, simplify HR processes and workflows across compensation planning, learning, and management, giving us a tremendous boost in operational efficiency.”
The new enterprise platform also offered the following solutions relevant to JLL:
- Features for rapid development of custom AI-enabled apps leveraging its low-code or no-code functionality: Employees can now develop apps to generate customized reports and receive precise output in a matter of seconds.
- Data visibility enhancements: Leaders can now easily access and analyze data from multiple sources, becoming more empowered with the information they need to make the best strategic decisions. This granular level of access is crucial not just for efficiency, but also for ensuring responsible use of data when AI plays a larger role in HR. As AI innovation continues to rapidly advance, JLL is determined to maintain data transparency as it adopts AI through its chosen enterprise resource management platform.
According to Pannie Sia, General Manager (ASEAN), Workday, the platform chosen by JLL, organizations can thrive better if they “unlock the power of digital transformation, boost agility, anticipate change and move with purpose” with “increased efficiency, optimized workforce planning, and data-driven decision-making.”
